Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2026-04-10T06:20Z ( ACE: SWEPAM )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
ACE: SWEPAM
ACE: MAG
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
Activity ID: 2026-04-10T06:20:00-IPS-001 (version 1)
Quality of ICME Signature: 0 (weak signatures)
Note: Complex magnetic structure with a sharp B_total rise from 1nT to ~12nT at event time, reaching a peak ~14.2nT so far. This follows from a slow B_total rise from ~5nT to ~9nT starting as early as 2026-04-09T13:22Z, which then briefly dropped to background levels ~2026-04-10T02:28Z. Solar wind speed around 420 km/s with a small rise in temperature and drop in density observed alongside the magnetic field at this time. This signature may be associated with a coronal hole high speed stream beginning as early as 2026-04-09 with further potential influence from a likely solar sector boundary crossing. Analysis of the structure is ongoing as it develops.
